Had a great experience at Rouxpour—this place delivers on atmosphere, flavor, and overall vibe. From the moment you walk in, it’s inviting and welcoming. The indoor/outdoor seating setup creates a relaxed, upscale environment that still feels comfortable enough for families and kids. Whether it’s a date night or a casual dinner with two, it fits perfectly. Let’s talk food. The chargrilled oysters were solid. Not bad at all—but if I’m being real and comparing them to the heavy hitters like Acme Oyster House and Drago’s Seafood Restaurant in New Orleans, they don’t quite reach that level. Even compared to Kanvas Restaurant in Downtown Dallas, I’d rank these just slightly below. That said, they’re still probably among the better oysters I’ve had in Texas—around second or third depending on the day. Adding a little extra butter definitely elevated them. Now the rest of the menu? That’s where Rouxpour shines. The ribs were outstanding—tender, flavorful, and cooked right. The red snapper was seasoned perfectly and had great depth of flavor. The Texas red snapper also held its own and is worth ordering. The stuffed shrimp Treme is a strong recommendation—a really nice blend of seafood and boudin that hits just right. And the lollipop lamb chops with the glaze? Easily one of the highlights. Cooked well, flavorful, and balanced. But let me tell you—do NOT leave without ordering the Cowboy Old Fashioned. That drink is top-tier. It’s right up there with the Banana’s Foster Old Fashioned at Kanvas in Dallas, which says a lot. Overall, the food across the board had great flavor, the service was on point, and the atmosphere made you want to stay a while. If you’re in Houston, especially around Memorial City, Rouxpour is absolutely worth the visit. Great for couples, families, or anyone looking for a flavorful, well-rounded dining experience.
